Salt for Kidney Patient

Sodium is the cause of the rise in blood pressure. Two situations arise- firstly, the rise in blood pressure is seen and secondly, an increase in the blood pressure will affect the kidneys.
The presence of sodium leads to the accumulation of water due to which legs swell and therefore, limiting the amount of sodium is very important. Sodium is present in every eatable. The main source of sodium is sodium chloride.
Therefore, patients in Sai Sanjivani are advised to take a pinch of rock salt in every meal as it is a naturally occurring salt and its properties are different from that of normal salt.
