7 Foods to Avoid in Kidney Failure

Kidney failure is a condition in which kidneys lose their function. due to the low functioning of the kidney, waste material like creatinine#urea, sodium, and potassium accumulates in the body and causes several symptoms. Kidney failure patients are advised to avoid foods that result in the accumulation of waste material.

1. Juices
A patient must avoid fruit juices as it increases the level of potassium in the kidney failure patient. Instead, the patient is advised to take 1 cup of fruits only in a day as it will help to manage potassium levels in the body.

2. Jaggery
It also increases the level of #potassium which further causes itching and a level above 7 increases the risk of a heart attack.

3. Rooty and leafy vegetable
These vegetables are also responsible for increasing potassium levels in the body. It is advised to avoid all kinds of rooty and leafy vegetables to manage the level of potassium under control.

4.Salt
Normal salt increases the level of sodium in the body and further affects the blood pressure. Patients are advised to take 1 pinch sendha namak that is pink salt in every meal to maintain the level of sodium in the body.

5. Frozen Food
Kidney failure patients are advised to avoid processed pr frozen food along with junk food as it harms the kidneys and other body organs along with it.

6. Protein
A high amount of protein increases the level of creatinine in kidney failure patients. So, patients are advised to take a low protein diet or protein-free diet to maintain the level of creatinine in the body.

7. Low sodium salt
Kidney failure 3patients usually take low sodium salt to maintain the level of blood pressure but this low sodium salt increases the level of sodium int the body and further affects the kidneys.
